Abstract

Soft shell turtle (Trionyx cartilaginesis) (E.O. Moll 1977) is a fresh water reptile which was found in the rivers, mines pools and fast flowing streams. It has a close relationship with hard shell terrapin such as River Terappin (Batagur baska), (Callagur borneonsis) and land tortoises. They became a delicacy to some etnic of peoples of this country. In this study 8 total of 28 eggs were collected and buried in the sand at Pulau Anggoh near Kuala Tahan tourist complex. Only 5 eggs were hatched for the period of 61 days.
