Abstract

This poster illustrates a diverse assemblage of entomological specimens native to Malaysia, currently curated within the archives of the Natural History Museum in London. This collection highlights a broad taxonomic variety, showcasing the rich morphological diversity of the region's insect fauna across several orders including Hemiptera (cicadas), Phasmida (stick and leaf insects), Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies), Orthoptera (grasshoppers), and Hymenoptera (wasps). The visual arrangement presents fifteen distinct species, emphasizing adaptations such as the cryptic camouflage of the leaf insect (Phyllium bilobatum), the striking wing patterns of the cicadas (such as Tacua speciosa), and the iridescent structural coloration of the damselflies (Neurobasis kaupi). Each specimen is presented with its specific scientific binomial.
