Abstract

The study was carried out at Klang Gates, Selangor and Kenyir Dam, Terengganu. The number of serows in the study areas was determined. The types of food and habitat was also noted. Logging in the hill dipterocarp forest together with poaching are the main factors that cause the decline of the species. Serows are difficult to observe directly. During the study, the animal was only sighted twice and both times at Kenyir Dam, Terengganu.
