Abstract

Translocation of elephants is necessary to solve the human-elephant conflict. All the elephants translocated were very aggressive and bad to be chained. Lacerations and abscesses were observed in all the elephants. The causes were due to trauma and the use of non sterile dart. The problems increases the management cost and delay the time for training the elephants.
