Abstract

Two cases of hemorrhagic septicaemia in the India gaur (Bos gaurus gaurus) at Zoo Melaka are described. The lesions observed included severe pneumonia, marked congestion of the lung, exudativefibrinous pericarditis, fibrinous pleuritis, laryngitis and hemorrhagic tracheitis. Pure growths of Pasteurella multocida Carter's type B were isolated from the heart, lungs, liver and spleen of both animals.
